As a Nashville native, Jonathan Harris earned a Business Management degree with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from Union University and began investing in real estate as a student. Upon graduation, he returned home to Nashville to continue working in his passion. After four years as a full time investor, Jonathan started helping friends purchase homes for themselves. The unintended result of helping a few friends turned into a large referral based business. In 2012, he then founded Scout Properties.
Jonathan has been active in the community through volunteering with organizations like Young Life, a high school mentorship program. He is also a board member for the Phoenix Club of Nashville, a venture philanthropy organization that raises money for the Boys and Girls Club, W.O. Smith, Monroe Carrell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and Junior Achievement.
When Jonathan is not working he loves spending time with his best friend and wife, Karen. They love to travel the world together, seeing beauty and experiencing God’s creation firsthand. He loves outdoors activities, including hiking, fishing, or playing sports. On the weekends, Jonathan can be found at Radnor Lake or Percy Warner reading a book on personal growth, or in the fall he is most definitely cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is involved with many faith based ministries both locally and abroad and attends Avenue South Church off of 8th Avenue.
